The Maine Island Trail extends along the Coast of Maine, connecting over 200 islands and mainland sites, offering a unique experience for small boaters. It stands as the pioneering recreational water trail in North America, providing opportunities to explore and camp amidst thousands of islands in one of the most magnificent paddling and cruising regions in the United States.

Through a collaboration with the Maine-based company Chimani, the Maine Island Trail Association (MITA) presents an application designed for its members and the general public to virtually navigate the Trail. This complimentary app provides access to information about publicly-owned islands, stunning imagery, pump-out locations, tide charts, safety guidelines, launch sites, as well as updates on MITA news and upcoming events. Exclusive access to privately-owned sites requires membership with MITA.

It is important to note that continuous use of GPS while running in the background may significantly impact battery life.
